If Years of Life Were The Equivalent to Money, This Is What Our Society Would Look Like.

Inequality

In Time is a movie about in the future, instead having money, the years of your life are used to pay for things. You start with 25 years, and you make the years you spend. SO, if you're rich, you can live forever. But if you're poor, you have no chance to live very long. It's kind of like now, the rich live easy, while the poor bust their butts to try and get to the level of living.

It isn't fair. You can watch your life literally pass right before your own eyes. You can watch time pass by on your arm. It's not like your death will be a surprise. If you aren't making years like the rich, you know the exact minute and second you will die. It's sickening and scary. If you're born into a poor family, you are screwed. There's no chance because it's not like you can hide the fact that you're poor, people can just see your arm and know, then they'll treat you differently. The rich pretty much rule the society, and they just need everyone else there so they can be considered upper class.

Then, something is made so that you can take years away from people and give them to someone else. And someone who has over a hundred years to live, suddenly runs out of time and then someone who was poor has a whole bunch of years. Then he starts giving years to other poor people. He's the robin hood of our future. Take from the rich and give to the poor. And the government tries to stop him for helping others! It's ridiculous!

A future like this would be very morbid. If it was to be converted right now, my family would definitely not be in the rich category. and I'd have a lot of anxiety since I can seriously see how many years I have left to live. It's really sad. And if you're poor and have kids, and they see you only have a day left and they ask whats going wrong? THAT'S SO SAD. You have to tell your children you're going to die tomorrow, and at like the exact time. It's not like that doesn't happen now, but it would happen more frequently. And even now you dont know if you will die tomorrow. The whole thing is just sad and depressing.

But okay, if the world was like that and Justin Timberlake gave me a few extra years to live? I guess I'd be okay with that. I mean, it's Justin Timberlake, nothing is bad about that at all.
